The interior of the skeletal crystal has small diopside crystals embedded in white calcite. An interesting paragenesis development. |

Species: QUARTZ Locality: Off Rt. 156, Half mile north of Raymond town line, Nottingham, NH Specimen Size: 13 mm field of view. Grape botryoids of pinkish quartz crystals. Field Collected: Bob Janules Catalog No.: TBC Notes: Bob Janules reported that the source of this specimen was an isolated glacial boulder. It was totally broken up by mineral collectors. It is possible that other similar boulders might be revealed in the area by residential and commercial development in the decades since this specimen was collected. |
